acorn electron game tape ZAOR

2018 - 35th anniversay of UK release!

To celebrate the release to the UK market back in 1983 (on the 25th August), I made a little tune. The sounds that you hear are from my Acorn Electron, played using 'Piano' directly into Audacity, running on my laptop. I've tweaked pitch for some of them to sound like a bass line, etc, but left most largely untouched. There is, of course, that beautiful 'switch on' beep beeep from the Elk  featured too.

The beat is from my BOSS DR-55 drum machine (1980) as used by bands like New Order, The Sisters of Mercy, Depeche Mode and others! None of them did a tune about an Elk though, right ;-D

It's a quirky tune and it's really important that you listen to it through headphones or sensible speakers - mobile phones don't seem to like the tones lol. Similar tubes? Think 'Finland Red Egypt White' by The Sisterhood (Sisters of Mercy side project).

Also, there's another little Happy Birthday demo that I did, too.

Anyhoo, enjoy!

You can download the FLAC, if you'd like it.
